Instructions for: TEN THOUSAND ISLANDS (Marsh Trail)/BIG CYPRESS BEND/KIRBY STORTER
First Stop: 1.

Take Exit 101 off I-75 South and turn right, onto Collier Blvd./ 84W. Stay on Collier Blvd. for 6.8 miles (keep left around 6.0 miles to prepare for left turn).
2. Turn left onto US 41 South.
3. Continue on US 41 South for 10.7 miles to Ten Thousand Island NWR Marsh Trail on right (Google Map) .
Insect repellent recommended: mosquitos
(no reliable restrooms until 2nd stop, Big Cypress Bend Boardwalk Porta-Johns.)
Second Stop:
4. Continue on US 41 South for 5.8 miles to Big Cypress Bend Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve Boardwalk on left (Google Map). Additional parking across US 41.
(Porta-Johns here: not great; if you can wait, there are good restrooms 9.2 miles along the way to the Third Stop).
Suggested donation for the boardwalk= $3.00; insect repellent recommended.
Third Stop:
5. Continue on US 41 South for 20.2 miles to Kirby Storter Roadside Park (Google Map). Lunch and bird count here.
