Wakodahatchee Wetlands & Green Cay Wetlands
March 5, 2017
These Palm Beach County Water Utility facilities are constructed wetlands that have been designed to naturally filter treated water while also providing opportunities for wildlife viewing from boardwalks. Close views of nesting wading birds and the chance to see Purple Gallinule, Sora, and Least Bitterns just off the easily-navigated boardwalks have made this bus trip a popular one with Caloosa Bird Club members.
This trip aboard a 52-passenger bus is limited by the number of seats available. Priority will be given to club members. If space is available the trip will open to non-members. Contact Ken Hodgson at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up for the trip.
Cost for the bus trip is $47.00 with checks payable to Caloosa Bird Club. Price includes bus and dinner. Alcoholic drinks are not included in the dinner price.
Meet at Cypress Trace Shopping Center, located on the NW corner of Cypress Lakes Drive and US 41 just west of Bell Towers off of Cleveland Ave. no later than 6 AM.
Bring lunch, snacks and beverages, no glass containers. We eat at the Log Cabin BBQ in LaBelle on the way home. They can help our veggie friends if needed.
I hope to return by 8:30 PM…
Bring 2, one dollar bills for the driver. Don’t be late, the bus won’t wait!
Bless the Bus.😄kh
